Healthy living leads to healthy aging. Today, many magazines are sold whose headlines are directed towards aging people and how to look younger, keep your body and skin fresh, and remove those wrinkles as you age. It is a fact that as you hit milestones as you grow older, you also enter different realms of your life.
These realms develop your mental state, physical appearance, and social and emotional needs while also exposing you to different experiences in your life, such as finally having your first legal wine/ beer when you hit 21. But aging isn’t necessarily about eating supplements every day, using creams and lotions that are supposed to make you look like a 20-year-old, and adding light to heavy workout routines in your daily life. But instead, it can be used to explore your abilities and capabilities.
However, it is necessary to watch what you are eating, take good care of your personal hygiene, visit your doctor on a weekly to monthly basis, and get a good amount of sleep to keep your body and mind healthy and fit. It is also recommended to avoid dehydration and consumes less alcohol and fizzy drinks.
Research suggests charging up your creative juices is a great way to age gracefully and happily as it also develops your personality trait. There are many ways to stay creative other than doodling, singing, and DIY projects. Creativity varies for every person, so it is important to know how to keep those doors open rather than listing down the same repeated list we’ve all looked down at during the pandemic.
How to stay creative
Traveling is a great way to clear your mind and expose you to different surroundings. It's also a great way to help your mind grow. We’ve all heard stories of when our parents or grandparents visited another city or country in their youth, how they met new people, learned new cultures, and perhaps fell in love too.
Clear all your thoughts and negative energy around you through meditation. Although some people believe that meditation brings you some healing powers, others believe that it also grants access to more knowledge. Some people come up with poetry or book ideas through meditation. This is also a great way to let stress and anxiety or other mental illness flow out of your brain. Use a vision board to put your ideas up where you see them to keep inspiring yourself and motivating you to put those ideas into action.
Think out of the box:
Allow yourself to think outside the box and break all barriers to thoughts and creativity. Challenge yourself to the tasks you can do. Ask yourself, “what if...”Break those walls that you have confined yourself into and change your perception of ordinary things. Confront your issues, so you have nothing holding you back. This would also help you to get stronger emotionally and physically. The stronger your mind and body are, the longers you can hold onto your rope of creativity.
