When the weekend comes, it brings with it the spirit of fun, which makes you want to go out and party like crazy until sunrise. Sometimes, the partying gets a little out of hand and so does your drinking, which results in you returning home completely disoriented and wishing the night never happened. As a result, you wake up the next morning dehydrated and with a severe headache–this is a hangover, and here are some crazy ways to cure it.
1. Pickle Juice
If you are looking for a cure for your hangover, that remedy might be already in your fridge. Yes, it is pickle juice. There is a common understanding that pickled food is great to cure hangovers because fermented food items are known to have salts and good bacteria that regulate your body's function. After a long day of drinking, your body becomes dehydrated and the salts in the pickle juice help your body maintain its electrolytes and retain water.
2. Tiger’s Milk
Before you go there, it is not what you think it is. Tiger’s Milk is a drink made by the people of Peru who consider this drink to be a great cure for hangovers. In reality, this drink is made from raw fish and not tigers. In short, the main ingredient of this drink is the leftovers from making ceviche so you’ll probably taste a lot of lemons and a lot of fish.
3. Ostrich Egg
When you travel to South Africa, you’ll notice that their hangover cure consists of eating an omelet. But before you think of it as a normal cure, this is not just any ordinary omelet–it is made from an ostrich egg. Protein is said to be the best cure for hangovers, which is why people of South Africa opt for an ostrich egg which is equal to eating 24 chicken eggs. It weighs around 1.5 kilograms (roughly 2.5 pounds) but that is the least of your problems.
